I was thinking about words today; more specifically the power of words. A simple 3 word phrase can have so much power over someones life. For girls “you’re fat” can be the end of them. It never ceases to amaze me how people think they have the right to say anything they want to someone without any regard for their feelings…

My little sister called me the other day and told me shes moving from California to Colorado. She moved to the United States after high school and has been out there for school ever since. Sometimes I feel like she’s braver than I am. She’s so free spirited and wants the world, and she deserves it! Life is about more than the labels that are placed upon us and it’s about more than having a 9-5 job monday through friday. Life is about living! It sounds cliche to say that but it’s true.
I only hope that my sister takes full advantage of every opportunity that comes her way. While I was in college, I wanted to do so much, but I was scared. Traveling and being carefree takes more money that you would think. I tried, but I preferred to stay in my niche: the practice rooms with my hot tea and my violin; that was all I needed.
Each person is different and you have to learn to spread your wings. My wings was pursuing my passion as a career, and I am living the dream life! My sister is out there flying, finding hers.
